The Gains and Risks of Parenthood

Hello everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and spent time with your family friends, and loved ones. For today I want to do something I've been learning all of my life and that's for the fact is about the importance of parenthood. In my family relations class, we talked about the importance of the gains and risks of parenting and so for today, I will be sharing with you some stories that were shared with me by my parents not because they want to board me with old tales is because they want me to feel a certain emotion and that emotion is known as inspiration.

First I want to start off by sharing a quote from a good TV show it's a comedy show called Mrs. brown boys it's a TV show that is placed in the UK and it's my dream to always go to the United Kingdom and my favorite character is definitely the main character Agnes brown. Agnes Brown shared a quote that was a huge inspiration to me in this quote it's a pretty good reference to my parenting this quote said was, “ life is like a gamble." And I don't mean gambling like anything to do with wealth or money, what she meant was that life
has its moments of succession and moments of failure. Parenting is kind of like gambling because as parents they must do everything they can to make an honorable and fair decision and sometimes those decisions lead to those cases being a case of gains and risks. Sometimes parenting can bring happiness and joy and sometimes it can be stressful and full of anxiety and that's because of the choices that people make that lead to those cases. For me, my parents are a huge inspiration in my life not because they just only raised me is because they taught me certain things about gains and risks my father taught me everything economically everything about finances how to save, and how to make good deals and also the importance of budgeting and my mother taught me everything mentally how to form good communications and partnerships between other people and to know the difference between good people and not so very good people. And the great reason why I have this certain form of knowledge is that they are providing me these certain things so that I can teach these to my future kids one day and that's what parenting is all about to provide, protect, and always support our children so that they can grow up to do the same to their children and so on and so forth. My girlfriend and I talked about having kids all the time not because we just want them it's because we like to do the same as our parents have done for us by always providing and protecting and I get excited every single time about this topic it's not because I want to be dominant it's because I want to be a great example like my father and mother by becoming a teacher to teach my kids about the importance of financial structure and how to make really good friends. And if my parents are reading this blog, I just want to let you know I want to thank you for raising me as your son I want to thank you for providing, supporting, and teaching me the importance of everything that I need in life and I will honor those teachings now and forevermore. And I want to say the same to all parents and kids out there that in life there are always going to be gains and risks gains of partnership and companionship between parent and child and risks of rebellions and continental fights but I want to promise you as long as we are open with each other that's what forms true partnership is by speaking and listening and I promise you the Lord will bless you with great blessings of protection and eternal happiness.

The scripture I want to end with for today is 1 Nephi 1:1 and which reads, “I, Nephi, having been born of goodly parents, therefore I was taught somewhat in all the learning of my father; and having seen many afflictions in the course of my days, nevertheless, having been highly favored of the Lord in all my days; yea, having had a great knowledge of the goodness and the mysteries of God, therefore I make a record of my proceedings in my days.”
