About Me.
Hello everyone I would like to start by saying welcome to my blog my name is Carson Abraham I am 21 years old and I am currently living in Rexburg I am a student at BYU Idaho and I am currently in my generals to get the feel of everything here in campus but next year I am planning to study in business with a certificate and welding so I can open my own business with fabrication and I am also planning to save some extra expenses to build my very own blacksmithing shop. So today I'm just going to tell you a little bit more about me I was born in Cody WY on April 30th, 2001, I was raised in San Antonio TX, and I went to high school and got my diploma in Lakeville South high school in Lakeville MN.
I am the middle child of five kids my favorite thing to do when I
have free time is to bake I bake things such as cookies cakes and also my very
first thing I ever made was a homemade Snickers and Reese's so that was a lot of
fun, I also like to sing my favorite songs I love to listen to and to sing to
are usually Disney songs and songs from musicals and acapella groups such as
one of my favorite bands that I love to listen to is BYU vocal point and it's
always been a dream of mine to sing with them, and my last thing they love
doing is learning about history and I actually have a hobby of doing family
history work for the Church of Jesus Christ of latter day Saints and Back in
Minnesota where I used to live I got called as a family history consultant for
the lake Marian ward so I helped a lot of families and also young adults to
learn about the importance of family history work and I also love family
history is because I love to learn the stories of my ancestors to learn about
what me and my family origins are and I learned that I have ancestors who
immigrated here in America from Wales. I served a mission before I went to
college I served in the Minneapolis MN service mission and it was during COVID
but I had a lot of fun because I had family members who helped me and inspired
me to read the scriptures and to attend conference meetings and I had two
wonderful companions that inspired me to be a better leader and also to be a
better member of the church I was set apart on March 16th 2020 and I got
released off my mission around February 28th of 2022 usually what I did on my
service mission I served in a lot of voluntary areas such as food shelters,
animal shelters, and I even served at the Saint Paul temple in Oakdale and that
one has got to be one of my favorite places to serve and usually what I do at
the temple is I do a lot of maintenance work and help clean around the areas to
get it ready for people who have appointments such as baptisms and I also do a
lot of gardening work with my companion during the spring and summer time and
every single time when I drive up there it's about a 45 minute drive from where
I live and it's a stressful drive but when I just get to the temple I just feel
immense peace because everything that was going in my head was you are now in
the presence of the Lord's house and you are going to do great services here.
And also on my mission I attended online college since COVID kind of closed
everything off and my missionary leaders allowed me to attend a college program
called BYU pathways so I could get enough credit for transferring I had a blast
with that and after a while, I was done with the program and off my mission, I
went to work to save up enough finances and I had enough credits to be
transferred to BYUI.
So that's pretty much my life story and I am looking forward
to blogging about the importance of families I would like to start with a scripture
verse and its Moses 5: 12 which says, “And Adam and Eve blessed the name of God,
and they made all things known unto their sons and their daughters.” When I am
done with college, I want to share my knowledge with my future children about how
going on a mission, going to college, and attending the temple can help them
become supporters of their families as I have learned.
